The Search : - The right Video Format for the internet
I have successfully documented on video, CSP102 activities.
It was a bag full of DV tapes; I lost count on them already. I think its
15 to 20 DV tapes all in all. From the Acquaintance Party to the last 1st S.P.I.
Cheering Competition, it's a one of a kind experience.
I have a lot of hands on video cam experience, the activities sharpen
My knowledge on video coverage, the only thing to do now, is to upload
The video's in the internet. Uploading the videos is not easy, I have to
Upgrade my PC.
To transfer videos to the internet, I need the following:
Computer,
Broadband connection,
Video hosting.
I installed a TV Tuner to my Pentium III 700MHz PC.
Videos need large amount of hard disk for storage.
I notice that my PC can't handle large amount of output videos
From the movie maker, edited video output needs a faster PC, faster than
What I have. I just use what i have.
It does not stop there.
Uploading from a PC on a broadband speed of 350kbps is really slow.
Talking about time ... it takes me up to 30minutes to 1hour just to upload
And test a 10 minute video.
The problem does not stop there either
Uploaded video when previewed are not always good to see. Low quality,
Pixilated, poor lighted, to much light, and does not sound good.
Youtube recommended using:
MPEG video format
30 frames per second
320X240 resolution
Mp3 audio
It took me weeks, just to find a software that can convert
AVI video format to MPEG-4
I have to re upload all the video.
But not all video are not bad, some will be uploaded using MPEG-4
