I have been a professional website developer for the last 4 years.
Thru the years I have design and develop a number of websites.
Maintain a domain name and website hosting.
But despite all of my experiences as a website developer I lost in the website development competition.
Am not surprised, I lost in the competition because I did not finish the website.
Upon analyzing my lost I found out that I can't stand the time pressure.
They give us 2 hours for developing the website.
Well actually they judge the competition not on the content, but by design, on which
My site doesn't have any.
I optimize the website to be "seen" by search engines. Search engines like Google, yahoo, AltaVista and other, see a website not by design but by content.
So I lost … now I know the weak part of my website development skills.
For the winners … I salute you!
Think about it:
Most of ComSci student learn there programming skills in schools.
On my rough survey, I found out that 9 out of 10 students have no personal computer.
Students learn there skills at school and practice at the internet café.
The flow of used computer from different parts of the world, make it possible for more
Students to buy PC at a cheaper price there own computers.
Why does a student don't have a personal computer?
It's a matter of priority, not of funds.
Most students rather buy a cell phone than buying a computer.
Used computer is cheaper than a new cell phone.
Computer is cheaper to maintain than a cell phone.
A Student choose between there lunch and there load (cell phone prepaid load)
And choose to starve, save and buy a prepaid load.
On the lighter side:
Why do Elephants run away when they see a Personal Computer?
They're afraid of the mouse. :)
