Its Christmas today, this celebration is practice every year by Christian and non Christian a like.
Christmas is the time that supposedly is the birth of Jesus Christ.
I don't want to spoil your Christmas, but I got news for you, its not really what you think.
Dec. 25th is not and can not be the birth of Christ.
Let's examine:
The information about Christ birth is on The Bible.
Circumstances surrounding the birth of Christ will say to us that it's impossible to be December. Why?
Pointers:
Place of birth Bethlehem - during December there's snow.
The manger - sheep's is out in the field
If the weather during December is cold and snow is all around Bethlehem, surely it will be written by the author.
Sheep and shepherd are both out in the field pasturing; remember those angels first give the news to the shepherds about the birth of Christ.
The temperature difference will say strongly that December is not the month of Christ birth. Unless of course those sheep can withstand the cold temperature and can also dig there way thru the snow for them to get the grass. Does grass grow under the snow during winter? It is unlikely that the shepherds will risk to pasture the sheep during winter where cold temperature can kill there sheep.
December 25th, where did they get this date?
If the month is not correct then the day also is incorrect.
So if it's not Christ birth, then whose birth is it?
Think about it:
Christmas is said to be Christ birthday, it's become a commercial business date.
We now learn today that Christ is not born on December 25th.
Whether December or not (I know its not) the spirit of Christmas should surround with joy and peace.
On the lighter side:
Why do Santa clause don't have gifts for the Philippines?
Houses in the Philippines don't have chimneys; Santa can't get in the house. :)
