What will you do for a handful of happiness?
Will you give everything you have?
A penny for a smile, a dime for laughter,
even for a million you can't find one.
The woman longing for her husband,
wondering if he will came back tonight.
Stare at a distance but seeing nothing.
Cant seat down, cant stand up, "what should I do". even in his sleep he's lonely.
A wink of sleep, and if asleep don't want to wake up.
Banquets of food, deliciously prepared, no appetites to eat.
"Don't want to eat" he says. but the truth is he doesn't know the reason to eat.
With friends she laugh's, even in a simple joke she giggles. Her eyes don't lie. Together with laughter's droplets of tears, her friends notice it and just ignore the lonely sight. They whisper to one another "am beginning to cry" one says, "don't show it to her". The acting ability pays off.
Brave heart fully armored on the outside appearance,
deep inside the sight of an abandoned child.
He's a workaholic they think, but the truth is he busies himself to battle grief.
